Baltimore City is looking for certified weatherization contractors, crews and auditors to help meet their goal of weatherizing 700 low-income residences per year over the next three years. This goal speaks opportunity for BCCC and the future of its weatherization initiative.
Our Division of Business and Continuing Education is forging partnerships and securing alliances in the Green Energy -Weatherization field to build meaningful programs that will impact the citizens of Baltimore as well as energy programs statewide.
Responsibilities:
The Construction Trades /Weatherization Development Executive will:
Develop partnerships with companies' to provide weatherization training, green energy, and sustainable construction technologies and applications.
Partner to host workshops/seminars for commercial building contractors, renewable-energy firms, residential project managers, home inspectors, and other potential partners that are engaged in/or seeking training and sustainable employment in energy-efficient building, sustainable construction, and the retrofit industry.
Expand curricula; create a "Center for Renewable Energy & Sustainable Employment". This will align us with additional partners to expand our capacity to offer new programs and research energy renewable and weatherization initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of demonstrated subject matter experience preferred.
10 years demonstrated subject matter experience in lieu of degree.
