Mechanical Finite Element Analyst of Hybrid Vehicle Battery Packs
Responsibilities:
Provide FEA analysis as required for support of programs and projects
Author analysis reports and technical documents
Communicate directly with Product Engineers and Designers providing feedback on design concepts and suggesting design improvments bases on FEA analysis
Communicate directly with Program Managers to provide information on analysis timing and workflow
Support Engineering Design Review processes and documentation requirments
Support Physical Testing activities with requirments and documentation for CAE correlation testing
Work with CAE Technical Specialist to coordinat CAE activities for all programs and to develop best practices for CAE analysis
Qualifications:
3-8 years of progressive CAE/FEA experience
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in an Engineering Consulting environment
Business communication skills and knowledge of 6-Sigma Quality processes
Demonstrated technical experience in structural analysis
Experience and working knowledge of energy storage systems is desired but not required
Experience with industry standard FEA codes such as Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, and/or Dyna3D
Experience with physical testing in support of CAE correlation
