Position Overview:
Green Guru David Gottfried Seeks Dynamic Executive Assistant / Office Manager.
We run several companies, including Regenerative Ventures and the U.S. Regenerative Network, and work with the world's leading green building product manufacturers and service providers. We seek someone who is available immediately for a full-time position in Berkeley, CA as an executive assistant to David Gottfried / office manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Executive Assistance:
- Administrative services, including phone, mail, email, and scheduling appointments.
- Travel planning and reservations.
- Sending and tracking invoices.
- Researching, preparing, and reviewing materials for speeches and presentations.
- Aiding Mr. Gottfried in producing and marketing his books.
- Miscellaneous personal assistance as requested by Mr. Gottfried.
2. Office Management:
- Managing small office, supply purchasing, and office expansion.
- Assisting other staff and contractors (team of 6).
3. Client Management:
- Support marketing, new client acquisition, and communication with clients.
- Managing client tracking and sales management systems.
- Managing and delivering regular e-newsletters.
- Event planning for conferences.
4. Research: conducting internet research and fact checking.
5. Web Support: assisting with website maintenance & updates.
Qualifications:

- Think clearly and work extremely quickly with little supervision in a start-up entrepreneurial environment.
- Be a proactive, detail-oriented, independent and highly professional self-starter.
- Be confident. We want someone who will take the initiative to give suggestions and feedback, and will not be afraid to speak up. We are a collaborative workplace that requires everyone's creativity.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Have a strong executive assistant background with excellent references from previous employers.
- Have at least 5 years of work experience.
Ideal candidates will also have:
- Work experience in the green building, sustainability, architecture or design fields.
- Excellent proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Applications (including Sites and Docs), Web 2.0 tools, and social media sites such as Twitter. (We are Mac-based.)
- Internet research skills.
- Experience with graphic design.
- Experience writing and editing press releases, newsletters, letters, blogs, etc.
- A college degree from a top-tier 4-year university.
Compensation: Compensation for this position is negotiable.
