Position Overview:

The challenge facing you and your team, which consists of engineers, procurement managers, sub contractors, superintendents, and a myriad of multi-faceted personnel, is to accelerate our already-rapid growth by managing the solar projects to be completed on time and on below budget all the while exceeding customer expectations. You will be managing multiple projects simultaneously across the US, primarily in California and the East Coast.
You will be required to work closely with general contractors, electricians, city, county, state and federal officials, project owners and regulatory agencies, in order to efficiently and professionally complete ground up projects of varying size and scope.
Your role as project manager will be to own the project from cradle to grave. You will ensure that 1) the customer is delighted 2) the solar projects are built with our high quality standard 3) the solar project exceeds our yield expectations 4) the project is completed within the planned timeline 5) all projects are completed below budget 6) you develop a partnership attitude with our sub contractors and all project stake holders, and finally 7) You will promote and ensure safe work practice and conditions. We have high expectations to provide a safe work environment. Projects will vary from less than $500,000 to $6M.
It is crucial that you are an exceptional communicator, highly organized with efficiency and attention to detail and timelines.
Qualifications:
The position requires a minimum of 5 or more years of managing complex construction projects, quick learner, flexible, preferably with:
- a PMI/PMP certification
- experience in solar photovoltaic's
- high voltage transmission and substation construction
- above all a great positive attitude when confronted with difficult situations or pressing deadlines.
At this time target start date is 3rd quarter of this year (June-July).

The successful candidate will have an "ownership" mentality, managing company expenditures cautiously while generating production that significantly add to the top and bottom line.

Solar PM Requirements:
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum Experience Required (including years of experience): 7+years of experience
- Licenses / Certifications Required / Preferred: PMP Certification (preferred)
- Software / Systems skills required / preferred: Demonstrated experience in personnel management
- Experience working well independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors that come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including upper management, clients, and other departments
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
- CAD a plus
- Microsoft Office Suite a must; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
