The GRA is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Communications/Marketing Manager. The position involves orchestrating all public relations, marketing, and branding efforts on behalf of the Green Restaurant Association, restaurant clients, and vendor clients.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement green marketing and pr for restaurant and vendor clients via in-store signage, press releases, social media, etc.
Creatively enhance the social media marketing of the GRA
Write, edit, and distribute press releases, monthly newsletters, and various contributing articles
Oversee media research to identify and pursue appropriate media and exposure opportunities and cultivate relationships with media
Develop and enhance strategic/creative thinking in an effort to grow the GRA brand, and awareness about Certified Green Restaurants® on a national level
Track and monitor media coverage
Attend restaurant trade shows as the GRA spokesperson; write and deliver speeches and presentations

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 3 years of related experience in PR/Communications and Marketing.
Skilled at writing compelling articles and successful press releases
Experience attracting significant media attention
A vast knowledge of standard media protocols, eg. writing press releases, media outreach, list development, etc.
Detailed writer that needs little to no editing
Effective multi-tasking and time management as well as the ability to recognize and set priorities are essential.
Strong social media professional skills are necessary (Twitter, Facebook, mobile media)
Proficiency in Word and Excel
Ability to make compelling PowerPoint presentations
Domestic Travel
Will Give Preference to those that also have experience in:
Graphic Arts (Adobe Indesign)
Event planning/organizing
Green Marketing
