IT Engineer

Position Overview:

SunLink Corporation, a rapidly growing solar products company in the Bay Area has an immediate opening for an IT Engineer. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires a hands on, problem solving, multitasking team member who has a strong understanding of server, network and software management.

Responsibilities:

• Desktop support
• Training and support for end users
• Intranet development and management
• Server management and maintenance
• File backup (client and server) development and management
• Asset tracking - Network hardware, client hardware, servers, software, service contracts, etc.; recover unused technical equipment
• Software image development and management for clients
• ERP management - Version upgrades, hardware updates, backup, etc.
• Hardware and software procurement
• Leads projects within a team or independently
• Telecom process development and management - Set up and configure desktop and laptop systems, as well as office VOIP phones for new hires
• Manages computer security accounts (AD Logins and group memberships)
• Leads projects within a team or independently
• Review specifications, negotiate pricing and order technical equipment (computers, printers, accessories) from vendors
• Builds a strong relationship with technical suppliers and external support services

Qualifications:

• Windows XP Pro, 7, AD, Domain
• Windows Server 2003, 2008 - MCSE preferred
• HTML, Java
• Project Management
• Cisco - CCNA or higher preferred
• LAN administration, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and VLANs
• Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange Server
• WiFi wireless networks
• IP Telephony
• ong analytical, verbal and written communication skills

• Self-starter, quickly grasps delegated tasks, and requires minimal supervision or follow-up
• 4 Year Accredited Degree
• 5+ Years IT support experience
