Responsible for the design, layout, and integration of Biodiesel/bio-refinery plant systems, including the optimization of plant system lay out, preparation of detailed (isometric) piping, instrumentation diagrams, and plant system specifications;
Responsible for the system integration of both mechanical and performance requirements;
Responsible for writing engineering functional, system, and component level requirements
Will conduct peer review on interfacing systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and other requirements;
Will prepare technical specifications associated with the Balance of Plant (BOP) systems; and
Will perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum a BS in Mechanical Engineering
Must have a minimum of 7-years experience in mechanical design, including experience in refinery system design, encompassing various fields of engineering.
Must have strong knowledge of product, including, but not limited to, pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, pressure relief valves and instrumentation.
Must have a good working knowledge of refinery Plant Systems, Equipment, Policies, Practices, Codes and Standards
Must be proficient in 2D/ 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred, AutoCAD)
Requires a demonstrated understanding and implementation of NFPA, EPA, OSHA regulations, standards, and guidelines as applies to biodiesel/bio-refinery plant design/operation
